The article presents quantitative characteristics of multi-tonnage technogenic wastes in Ukraine and Ivano-Frankivsk region, which cause environmental pollution. The water silts containing petroleum products are particularly dangerous wastes. It is proposed to recycle them using the method of preparation of the raw mixture in composition with the following technogenic wastes: oil sludge, ash, zeolite material, calcium-containing compounds, and organic mineral binders. They are granulated and subjected to thermal treatment at low temperatures. The granular materials made using the oil-containing silt of the model object reduce the negative impact onto the environment of the region and increase its level of environmental safety.
